How CSS Works

1. The Cascading Stylesheet language also supports:
   
   
   • contextual rules (e.g., apply formatting only to EM elements inside P's of CLASS="heading")
     
     
   • special hypertext link formatting control.
     
     
   • CSS documents separate from the HTML document

   • Complex set of cascading rules to define which rules should actually apply, should there be conflicts.
