Current Status: XML, DOM and CSS

• All are integrated into Netscape 5 and Internet Explorer 5 -- Betas of both are available for downloading.
  
  
• There are many public domain parsers available for XML -- in your favourite languages (perl, python, java, C++)
  
  
• There are many public domain DOM implementations (generally built on top of an XML parser). This lets you build and process documents using DOM interfaces

XML is being used as to define UI configuration features in the Netscape 5 browser ("XUL"). There are many other instances where XML is being actively deployed in real-world applications.

Many development environemtns (like the ones mentioned earlier) have integrated XML into their toolkits, albeit in a patchwork way.
