Errata for Chapter 4, Part 2

Page 237, last paragraph: error in entity name
This paragraph refers to an internal general entity &Percival; -- this reference is incorrect. Instead, this should be the entity reference &phrase;.

Page 243, error in explanation of padding around parameter entity.
This explanation and example is incorrect -- space is not added around a parameter entity when it is inside another entity declaration (parameter or general). Thus, in the first example given on this page, no space is added around the parameter entity %GirlBoy;, when it is expanded, since it is being expanded inside the definition of the general entity ShortDescription.
Note, however, that example (with the entity %boyz at the bottom of the page is correct. In this case, space will be added around the expanded entity %boyz, since this entity is being expanded and recognized in the DTD (taht is, is being recognized as part of the grammatical definitions of the DTD) and not inside another entity declaration.

Page 247, error in explanation of padding around parameter entity.
This explanation (and the examples in the text) are in error, for the same reason described above -- whitespace is not added around the parameter entities being used here since they are used inside a subsequent entity declaration (for book.
