This is a simple, example HTML document. There is nothing fancy here -- it is only to illustrate the basic features of HTML markup. Note how HTML elements can take attributes, as in the CLASS attribute of the DIV element.
Another attribute example is the following link to Ian's home page. The HREF attribute takes, as its value, the URL of the resource to which the associated text should be linked.
